Hey lovely,

Jasmine here, back with your Wellness Dose.

This week is a big one - Between Us, our new private membership community, officially kicks off. Our first workshop is this Wednesday evening with Dior Bediako, life coach to the likes of Rochelle Humes, who'll be helping us design our dream lives step by step. Zoom link incoming. It honestly couldn't have come at a better time either as April really does feel like the real New Year for so many of us. If you're a Founding Member, reply to this email with your question for Dior!

If you haven't yet signed up, I’d love to find out why (hit reply and let me know, I’m honestly all ears to feedback) - founding member pricing ends tonight, after that it goes up to £25/month with doors opening for new members on a quarterly basis.

In other news, I've been seeing snippets of Emma Grede's new book everywhere on social & I'm about to download it for my dates with the stepper this week. So, for the Between Us members, should we start a monthly book club? Thinking it could be our May book, with a call at the end of the month to go through our learnings, what we're implementing, what resonated, what didn’t.

BIG FAN OF FRIENDS THAT INVEST!!

And lastly - if you ran the London Marathon yesterday, please know that I am in complete awe of you (& honestly, anyone who runs any marathon, ever). This year's race was set to raise over £100m for charity, which will change SO many people's lives. The mental & physical strength it takes to run 26 miles for a cause you love or care deeply about is so inspiring - so much so that I may or may not have entered the ballot for 2027 on the way home. If you’re feeling brave, here’s the link

THIS WOULD BE MY OUTFIT OF CHOICE

Let's get into it,

Your quick hits to be hotter, healthier & wealthier →

HOT

  • Less than one third of padel players are women, and it’s no surprise when we have to play with a racket made for a man. That was until this female-founded brand finally came to the rescue with cute af designs like this. (Pounce Paddle).

  • Dyson just solved our summer packing dilemmas with their carry-on friendly supersonic travel hairdryer that can actually be used abroad. At last. (Boots)

  • BeautyPie is launching their first concession in Liberty next month and members get to shop at member-pricing in store. (Instagram)

HEALTHY

  • This is basically free contraception. (TikTok)

  • What a popular female biohacker eats every day for health, longevity and hormone balance. Spoiler: it’s surprisingly simple. (Instagram).

WEALTHY

  • Girlies in the retreat business, this is your mini-MBA in how to market the feeling of it before it exists. (Instagram)

  • How a 33 year old founder sold a supplement business for $1bil in just 3 years. (Apple Podcasts / Spotify).

  • How to bootstrap like Bala. (Substack).

The best stories & updates that caught our eye this week →

  • 💨 And breathe: We've had supplements in just about every form by now - gummies, shots, drinks, strips, jellies. But one area that hasn't seen much love? Our breath. We take over 20,000 breaths a day, and yet unless you're asthmatic, we don't really think twice about improving it. New brand Climatic thinks that needs to change with the launch of L Max, the world's first breathable lung product (yes, something you inhale). 98% of trial users reported easier breathing during workouts and higher HRV within just two weeks, so is lung health the next big wellness category? We’re not convinced. Not because it’s not a good idea, but because it currently looks like a gigantic vape. Someone really should have called up the Daily Rituals girlies during R&D..

  • 🧪 Class is in session: There's so much we don't get taught at school - finances, how to assemble Ikea furniture, how to start a business, we could go on. But the class that might have saved us the most money? Decoding a beauty product’s ingredient list. Thankfully, cosmetic chemist Dr. Michelle Wong has taken to YouTube to do the lord's work, and we’ve got notes. First up, ingredients are listed highest to lowest concentration - but anything under 1% can be listed in any order (make it make sense). More importantly: if the ingredient you're buying the product for shows up after what she calls the 1% line - where things like fragrance and citric acid live - it might be worth thinking twice. Some actives like retinol work well under 1%, but glycolic acid, salicylic acid, vitamin C? They typically need to be above it, especially if that’s the hero ingredient you’ve been marketed on. Class dismissed.

  • 👀 You, me, forever? Harvard Professor Dr. David Sinclair has dedicated his entire career to studying ageing - specifically, the reversal of it. And now, his gene therapy startup Life Biosciences just got the green light for the first human clinical trials, raising $80m to fund it. Their lead therapy, ER-100, doesn't alter your DNA - instead it changes how it's expressed, telling your cells to return to their original factory settings. The trials are focused on two incurable eye conditions that cause blindness in older adults, where they’ll aim to restore sight. Crazy. And if it works? The theory goes that if you can reset the cells in the eye, why not the brain, the heart, every other organ that ages with you? Ageing would then become a condition to treat. Whilst it doesn't mean we'll live forever (though 120+ could be possible), it could ensure those final decades will be lived well. What a time to be alive.

  • 💍 Ear Candy: There's a tracker for almost every inch of our body these days (exhibit A) - but smart earrings might just be the most interesting development yet. Turns out the ear is actually a more accurate sensing location than the wrist or finger, and given most of us are already wearing them, it's the easiest add to our health stack too. It also unlocks new tracking capabilities, like cerebral blood flow (the amount of blood delivered to your brain) which will give real-time insights into your focus and energy. Ears are also the most accurate for temperature readings, thanks to being bone and muscle-free - meaning more accurate cycle an ovulation insights. So is it over for Oura and WHOOP? Not quite. We're hooked on their apps, and they’ll likely still win for steps, sleep movement and blood oxygen. So it’s more likely we’ll add to our stack, rather than replace it. The front runners? Incora, focused on cycle insights with their rounded gold stud, and Lumina, who've cleverly created a universal earring back that clips onto most studs you already own, as well as their own designs. Let’s pray the tech lives up to its promises - if it does, this is big.

Self-efficacy theory tells us that two people with the exact same abilities can perform completely differently - purely based on how capable they believe themselves to be. Our brains are wired to put more weight on recent failures over past wins too - so it pays to make it as easy as possible to remember your successes, especially when the hard days come (as such is life).

So tonight, before bed - open your notes app and start a list called "I really did that." Spend 5 minutes adding your wins from this year so far, big or small, or simply the things you got through that you'd rather not have had to.

Building the list builds the belief that you can do hard things - and when the next hard thing comes, your evidence is there waiting for you that you've already done it before, so why not again?

It’s crazy what’s now possible with AI, especially when it comes to enhancing our wellness routine. A recent favourite? Creating our own custom digital journal. Not only does it save you ££ on buying one every few months - the fact it’s built for you makes all the difference on how much you’ll use it, and how useful it actually is.

Your custom journal is a space where you can open each day that genuinely inspires you, gives you prompts that align to your specific goals, limiting beliefs (see above!), your manifestation practice, the lot. And, since we now know we need to see the progress - it allows you to save your entries so you can look back over them on the days you need that reminder of how far you’ve come.

Between Us members, here’s your step-by-step guide to create yours - and the master AI prompt that does it all, in just 10 minutes:
