Hey lovely,

Jasmine here, Editor of Daily Rituals, back with your Monday Wellness Dose.

As I write this I'm still on a major high from our Project E event this past weekend (though I can feel my immune system starting to be like "please can we have a break now?!" so I'm currently sipping on this Vitamin C favourite that I mix into water). Some good news for those that missed out - I've just launched a new event, this time a more casual coffee catch-up ahead of the upcoming Healf wellness festival (HX25) in October. Perfect if you fancy going with a likeminded girl gang or just want to start your day with some connection before heading on your own way. You can join the event here, and we've managed to get an exclusive reader discount for your HX25 ticket too (more details below).

As always, thank you for being here. I'm so grateful for you.

The best stories & updates that caught our eye this week →

  • 🔬 Make it accessible: Most popular longevity biomarker brands in the US did a copy+paste when launching their "own" versions (Hundred, Function et al - it's comical how similar they are..), each charging $499 annually for the same lab tests and "live forever" protocols. One company though just decided to undercut everyone by 60%, offering a single annual test instead of the usual two. Great news for us mere mortals since it's now cheaper than most monthly gym memberships to check our vitals. But for the established brands? The race to the bottom has begun, which will undoubtedly hurt their investor-heavy business models.

  • 🍂 Save this: Meal prep but make it seasonal, cosy, hearty and high-protein (adios sad desk salads). Seven new recipes that might actually make darker evenings moderately appealing. Watch them here, or read here

  • Subscribed for life: This brand clearly missed the memo about 2025’s smart ring legal battles, launching a near-identical wrist strap to WHOOP's 5.0. WHOOP lovers keen to ditch their monthly rent aren't thrilled with the functionality on offer from the new strap though - most features won't be enabled at launch, so you're buying based on future promises (never recommended). Even erring on the side of optimism, the £149 price point and (very) ugly app have made their continued loyalty to WHOOP a no-brainer. The broader issue? Once we’ve got used to certain tracking features, we're reluctant to downgrade, making it incredibly difficult for new players to break through - so we’ll continue to moan about our monthly subs, for now.

  • 👟 If it ain't broke: Despite being the world's largest sports brand, Nike's sales have been declining while On, Hoka, and Asics stepped up to take more market share. Nike hasn't had a trainer moment since the low Dunk craze in 2020-2022, with many blaming stale leadership for lack of innovation. It all sounds very corporate, and right on cue, they just announced their latest brand transformation - temporarily axing the iconic "Just Do It" for softer "Why Do It?" in their new campaign. & not everyone's convinced. Our hot take? The original is bold, action-focused, telling you to get off your a$$ and work out because discipline beats motivation. Every time. The new version invites existential questioning instead, targeted at Gen Z's authenticity obsession. But without new launches that get us excited again (we're still waiting for the NikeSkims collab..), one campaign (as nicely shot as it is) with a tagline refresh won't be enough.

  • 🔥 Talking of branding: This new contrast therapy “bathing clubopening in NYC this fall nailed theirs with "Hot. Cold. Human." Nothing makes you feel more alive than sweating out your sins before immediately regretting stepping foot into a cold plunge (ever). Founder pricing starts at $89 weekly, and they get bonus points from us for having both infrared and dry heat saunas. Saving this for next time we're in town.

  • 🤖 Your wellness AI: With ChatGPT going a little funky since its recent update, we're more open to wellness-specific alternatives. Huberman's trained an LLM on everything he's discussed in his podcasts - handy for quick searches on dopamine, vagus nerve stuff, or expert hot takes on wellness trends (if you can't face digesting 2-hour episodes). And new AI launch Clara by Rescripted focuses exclusively on women's health content. Both are free additions to your toolkit, though neither are gospel - treat them as starting points for research rather than definitive answers.

  • 💨 Book this: Rhythmic breathing (or as Vogue calls it, "LSD breathing") is proven to help unlock deeper relaxation states - experiencing a high, without said high. It’s one of those things you don’t believe is possible, until you’ve experienced it.. If you’re curious, transformational breathwork coach Rob Rea is hosting a 60 minute exploratory session this Wednesday in central London for your perfect cosy post-work wind-down.

Europes biggest wellness event is happening next month

Let’s go together 🤍

What do Bryony Basse (Pilates by Bryony), Jenna Zoe (Human Design)& Dr. Tara Swart all have in common? Well, aside from likely being in our Instagram saved folder, they're all heading to Healf's first IRL experience (HX25) this October 3rd-5th at 180 Studios. Your wellness feed is officially coming to life - the people you follow, the brands you've been meaning to try, classes you've wanted to book. All under one roof.

Your day could start with a Pvolve class, then enjoying a smoothie from the Erewhon-inspired pop-up (naturally), trying some hydrogen-enriched water before hitting the brand village to test everything from Oura to Hyperice without having to add to cart. It's sort of like a wellness theme park but for adults who like looking after themselves.

Lineup highlights that caught our eye: the Bryony Basse & Kayla Barnes-Lentz (queen of biohacking) convo, strength workouts with Altere, a Sanctum class (if you know, you know) & breathwork sessions by app Open. There's something for everyone, even cold plunges (apparently no wellness event is complete without one..)

It's a 3-day affair, but we'll be there Saturday 4th - meeting at a local coffee shop nearby for a casual catch-up before heading over together. The Pre-HX25 Ritual, if you will.

The best bit? We've teamed up with Healf to get your 50% off your ticket. Use code RITUALS50 & if you're heading there on the 4th, come grab a coffee beforehand and meet other Daily Rituals gals heading to the event. See you there!

Join The Pre-HX25 Ritual here.

Then get your ticket to HX25 here. (Code RITUALS50).

Introducing your mental espresso by Mindset Mentor Molly Gardner - it’s quick, strong, and just enough to shift how you move through your day →

SHOT #1:

September often feels like the second chance at a new year reset - regardless of how the year has gone so far. After summer's chaos, evenings get darker, "back to school energy" kicks in and routines start to return. It's easy to self-sabotage though, changing too much at once. Especially the Type A's amongst us...

This month, try something different:

  • Choose just one standard to raise & commit to it for the month (it’s likely you already have an idea of what that ought to be). Maybe it's your sleep, your boundaries, or a morning gratitude practice.

Do it daily and watch how that one shift can upgrade everything else.

Want to journal on it? You can download the journal prompts we created for our recent Reset event here for free.
